Prized Peach

This time of year, I seem to naturally gravitate towards warm tones. They not only compliment the glow of summer's skin so beautifully, but are a foul proof way to create a quick glam makeup look!

Lately my can't go a day without shades are both from MAC; brown script and give me sun bronzer. I even raved about them in last months favorites post!

Although I love a good glow all year long, there is just something about summertime that makes me stray away from all matte shadows. Urban Decay's Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, an oldie but a goodie it's the ultimate shadow to ensure your eyes glisten with every blink! A light pink champagne with silver glitter, I like to apply this wet to give more of a metallic look.

This look is honestly ideal for any skill level and amount of time. Being similar in shade and texture, blending and blurring these shadows makes this smokey look nearly foul-proof!

I chose to finish my with one of my favorite lippies at the moment, Jeffree Star's Mannequin! This pink brown nude compliments the pink undertones in the glow, keeping with the vibe of this monochromatic look.

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink; #glossierpink

When Glossier approached me to participate in their #glossierpink campaign, I jumped on board for obvious reasons; we both share the love of baby pink and believe that good makeup starts with good skin!

#glossierpink is all about Pantone's color of the year- which may be my favorite one yet, rose quartz. This color can be seen literally everywhere! Runways, your favorite retail shops, even makeup brands are releasing products inspired by this beautiful hue.

If I had to describe my style, it would be a mix of glam and edge. I wanted to incorporate both those elements, while pulling inspiration from Pantone and Glossier resulting in a very femme fatale fit for how I style my #glossierpink!

My makeup is where I ultimately drew the most inspiration from Glossier's rep. Glowing, healthy skin without any harsh shadow or contour. I opted for products that allowed my skin to peek through resulting in a more fresh faced feel; with the help of a few highlighting products, of course! I also chose to use mainly cream bronzers and highlighters, with little to no powder to continue the  "natural" radiance vibe.

Graphic t's are a staple in my wardrobe. Not only do they instantly bring an element of cool to any outfit, but are an unconventional way to pair different pieces; like this dusty rose body-con dress!

I also wanted to tie in Pantone's color of the year with some trendy accessories. I'm currently obsessed with chokers (I mean, who isn't. Welcome back 90s), and this one is actually an old bracelet of my mom's that i diy'd. I love it because it brings that glam, bossy element to even the simplest of outfits!

Be sure to check out one of my favorite highlighting sticks- Haloscope, along with all the other amazing beauty products Glossier has to offer, here

June Top 5 Beauty Favs

It's officially summer!!
Here are the five products I couldn't get enough of last month!

*all product pics are linked

Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Velour Liquid Lipstick- Mannequin:
These are obviously some of my favorite liquid lipsticks, so when I heard he was releasing an in-between nude color I was in lipstick heaven! This cool toned shade is ideal for every type of makeup look, to layer on top of a darker nude for an ombre effect, and for every skin tone to wear. I can't really describe it any other way, just know that it's literally the perfect nude you need in your collection!

Ole Henriksen, Ultimate Life Eye Gel- Roll On:
Another month, another Ole product. This is the roller version of the popular Ultimate Eye life Gel, and I think I love it even more! Infused with cucumber and calendula to reduce puffiness, while peptides help to firm and diminish the look of fine lines. The stainless steel applicator also helps to reduce puffiness, especially if you pop it in the fridge before applying! Within a few weeks you will literally see a difference in your overall eye area.
*I couldn't find the roll-on anywhere online, but I do purchase mine for a muuuch lower price at Tj Maxx or Marshalls.*

Mac, Give Me Sun Bronzer:
Summer is officially here, so of course I had to mention a bronzer I've been loving! Macs, GMS is a gorgeous natural peach shade that melts into the skin, leaving you with a "I've just been sunbathing all weekend" glow. This is a mineralized skin finish and I was hesitate at first because some of these powders have broken me out in the past. However, this was my go-to bronzer throughout the last month and I have yet to meet a new pesky friend! *knocks on wood*

Mac, Brown Script:
An oldie but a goodie! I used this eyeshadow all. month. long. From a transition/crease shade for my smokey looks, to an easy all over lid look. I was literally obsessed with this beautiful deep rich brown shade!

L'oreal, Elnett Hairspray:
This has been a favorite for awhile now- ever since I heard multiple hair stylists rave about it. A strong, but flexible hairspray that will hold your style without being crunchy. This hairspray is also soft enough to use as a pre-style tool. The best part, it literally disappears at the stroke of a brush- no commitment here! I will say I love the unscented much better. Target was out of stock so I picked up the original and to be honest, it smells a little grandma just left the beauty parlor!

Don't forget, you can still get paid to shop! Sign up for EBATES & your $10 gift card here!

Until next month...
